Love is a force of life. It’s often the inspiration for beautiful art, the motivation for many to rise to great heights, and the most incredible feeling in the world.
Everyone I meet seems to want to bring new love into their lives and learn to love themselves more too. In the world of feng shui, love grows as the positive energy around you grows.

Here are a few ways you can create this energy in your own home to attract the love you deserve:

1. See love everywhere.

When you’re in your home, your office, or wherever you spend the most time, what do you see? Do you see things you love? Do you love everything you see? Do you feel inspired by your space?
Surrounding yourself with things that make you feel incredible is such a fundamental part of creating a powerful connection to space, life, and love.
So swap anything that doesn’t inspire you for something that does, hunt for art that speaks to you, or simply toss any lingering clutter. Taking these small steps is a huge way to invite love into your space.

2. Practice love every day.

Set up a space that makes it easy for you to take care of yourself. Just about all the love experts, therapists, and healers I’ve met seem to agree that self-love is a key ingredient in all other kinds of love.
If you’re a bath lover, can you amp up your bath routine with a beautiful candle, some luscious soap, or even a bath pillow? If meditation is your bliss, can you find a meditation cushion and some hand-rolled incense to fashion a “meditation room” in an empty corner?

3. Create your own good vibrations.

Good vibes are empowering. In fact, if you’ve ever read Dr. Bruce Lipton’s book The Honeymoon Effect (I recommend it so highly!), you know that there’s a lot of science behind the idea that when we’re in sync with our environment and with other people, our personal power is magnified in a measurable way. And as Jason Wachob explains when talking about soul mates in his book Wellth (I recommend it so highly, too!), the ideal situation in love is where 1+1= 3. Both people are better for the love they share when they’re in sync.

It’s not hard to create that good-vibe feeling of synergy in your home or office. Simple things like burning a beeswax candle or turning on a pink Himalayan salt lamp can add negative ions to your home that dial up the positive feelings in the air. Opening some windows, even for a few minutes, can keep freshness flowing. Aromatherapy room sprays and diffused oils like jasmine, lavender, and rose can enhance the open energy in the air. All of these things will leave you immersed in empowering feelings of love.

4. Make the space for more love to enter.

Clearing clutter, especially clutter that keeps you tethered to heartbreak and bad memories, will open the door to more love.
Let go of anything you’ve got stuffed away that makes you feel heavy. You don’t have to throw out cherished memories, but the bad ones can find a new home someplace else. See how you interact with everything around you and decide to keep just the things in your space that feel right. Sync up with what makes you feel alive.

The more peaceful simplicity you can create around you, the more room you’ll have in your home, and your life, to attract and share more love.
