TETFUND HEADQUARTERS

The headquarters of the TETFUND are in Abuja. The office is responsible for coordinating the work of the agency’s zonal offices. This contributes to the organization’s mission of improving the facilities and training of federal and state universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

The TETFUND is overseen by an eleven-member board of trustees (BOT), which includes representatives from the Federal Ministries of Education and Finance, as well as the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

TETFUND SOUTH EAST ZONAL OFFICE

The TETFUND South-East zonal office aims to meet the goal of using Education Tax funds to enhance the operational circumstances of public tertiary institutions in Abia, Imo, Anambra, Enugu, and Ebonyi states.

TETFUND SOUTH-WEST ZONAL OFFICE

TETFUND NORTH-EAST ZONAL OFFICE

The TETFUND North East Zone office provides supplemental funding to public-owned tertiary institutions at all levels in Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Taraba, and Yobe states. Construction of lecture theatres to laboratories, academic staff training and development, and institutional material and equipment are among the measures.

Infrastructure projects built as part of TETFUND’s intervention programs dot the campuses of the zone’s 13 public universities, 9 polytechnics, and schools of education (as well as across the country).

The TETFUND emblem is prominently displayed on these infrastructures, making them easy to spot.

TETFUND NORTH CENTRAL ZONAL OFFICE

Supplementary support is granted to public tertiary institutions in the Federal Capital Territory, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and Plateau states in order to improve the higher education system.

Essential physical infrastructure for learning and teaching, research, and publication is provided to these universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. The Fund may additionally provide additional needs to these institutions as it sees fit.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT TETFUND

The Postsecondary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) is an intervention organization created to improve the general state of public-owned tertiary institutions by providing financing and project management. TETFUND receives funding to support these federal and state tertiary schools via a 2% Education Tax levied on corporate profits in Nigeria.

TETFUND has made significant contributions to the country’s tertiary education system. Since its inception in 2011, the Fund has invested over 2.5 trillion on academic staff development as well as infrastructure projects in public-owned universities, polytechnics, and institutes of education.

TETFUND has also developed training and development programs for academic staff at public universities. Over 4485 lecturers have gotten funding to pursue doctoral degrees in other countries, while over 3192 candidates have qualified for Master’s degree programs at other universities.

Moreover, tens of thousands of lecturers have been given free training at nearby universities. TETFUND has also set aside funds for projects that will improve learning and teaching infrastructure. In the numerous public universities, polytechnics, and institutes of education, it has completed over 150,000 infrastructural projects.

About 500 billion Naira estimated to be earned by TETFUND by 2023. As a result, public higher schools’ campuses will continue to be dotted with these physical infrastructural development.
