Description

Support all departments where required (Engineering, Production, Quality, Materials, Facilites, Finance, IT and AME Group), with the aim of keeping the production lines running smoothly based on Security, Quality and Productivity. Development of projects or support of continuous improvement, scrap reduction, cost reduction and implementation or automation of equipment for the production area. Contribute to maintaining compliance with Safety, Import/Export and Ethical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop,implement, configure and optimize improvement projects for compressor assembly from inception through to start up and certification
  • Assess processes, take measurements and interpret statistical data
  • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
  • Manage cost and time constraints for all projects
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions
  • Keep the safety systems and functions in operation at all times
  • Justification for Capital expenditures
  • Assist Process Engineers in resolution of recurring issues and equipment updates for long-term improvements
  • Assist process engineers and maintenance personnel in keeping the production lines running.
  • Participate with Corporate Manufacturing Engineering on new equipment installations
  • Participate in Plant Lean, Quality, Cost Reduction, Safety and Productivity initiatives

Additional Information

  • Travel Percentage: 15%
  • Shift Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Requirements

Basic:

  • Degree in Engineering a must (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical)
  • Proven work experience in process engineering
  • Use of 2D CAD programs (AutoCAD, NX or equivalent)
  • Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic diagrams
  • Experience with installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical production equipment
  • Ensure that processes comply with established Safety, Quality and Productivity standards.
  • Process and parameter adjustment according to Engineering / Quality specifications
  • Development and revision of preventive maintenance as well as lists of spare parts
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
  • Knowledge of basic statistics used for SPC
  • Read and write in English at 80%
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Training and experience in Project Management
  • Use of 3D CAD programs (AutoCAD, NX or equivalent)
  • Advanced knowledge in statistics and Minitab
  • Experience with programming robotics and PLC
  • Experience with design of production equipment and tooling
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
