Operating within the Northern & Central Europe business unit of Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Vestas Celtic Wind Technology Ltd focuses exclusively on selling, constructing and operating onshore wind power plants in UK and Ireland. With offices in Warrington and Dublin, the Service Department looks after the servicing and maintenance of wind turbines in UK and Ireland.

The Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind farms within UK and Ireland. The department has an open and informal culture, where team work and good communication is the key to our success. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.

A role responsible for scheduling & timely execution of planned work and ensuring that the needed resources, parts, subcontractors and tools are available.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • 3 weeks detailed scheduling of workload and assigning service teams. 52 weeks planning & workload levelling of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Availability Check on all required resources
  • Bundle Service Orders for any type of work; scheduled, preventive, CIM (warranty) upgrades etc
  • Assign Service Order to Service team (specify execution date and time). Book external assistance and equipment based on Service Order information
  • Notify customer support of planned work & provide relevant certification / documentation in advance of visits
  • Focus on maximising WTG production within LPF targets, focus on costs and allocation of resources in the most cost-effective manner. Driving continuous improvement of existing business processes within the team
  • Achieve strategic objectives of the company by following Vestas core values of Accountability Collaboration and Simplicity


  • You will have a previous background in a similar planning position, handling of critical tasks, scheduling, resource allocation and similar tasks
  • Previous experience planning in a fast-paced logistics/engineering/manufacturing environment would be ideal
  • You will have a genuine desire to build a career in the wind energy sector


  • Excellent analytical, organisation and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and quality driven – follow processes and execute tasks efficiently
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to think outside the box
  • Team player, aware of the goals of the team and work together to achieve your goals & targets
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly with a high level of problem-solving skills
  • Experience in MS office functions including excel, word, powerpoint and outlook
  • Experience in SAP ERP an advantage

Additional information
This role is a permanent position located full time in our Birchwood office in Warrington; you might be required to visit other offices from time to time but not on a regular basis or for long periods of time.
