Things like this can really show your partner that you think about them even when they aren’t around, which really keeps you both close.

Unfortunately this is habit forming, and it can be easy to let this kind of thing overflow into your marriage. Even the smallest of lies can be habit forming and can easily snowball into further problems or mistruths. Even the tiniest lie can chip away at the trust in your relationship.

Learn that 50/50 isn’t always the best way. Dividing the household tasks and chores straight down the middle can often seem like the fairest way to do things, but the fairest doesn’t always mean the best. In any partnership, there is inevitably a difference in the skills and abilities of the partners, and learning to balance these skills and share the responsibilities with regard to skill can often make life easier for both of you.
